DrDr is on the leaders among health startups in Iran. It's a platform that connects people to doctors and hospitals. They provide health care services such as booking a doctor or having a video chat online with preferred doctor that patient wants. The most important user acquisition way for DrDr is Google SERP and they have a very powerful SEO based magazine. As we know, google searches were increased a lot during covid because people preferred stay at home. So DrDr tried to make their website even better than before and improve its UX to have better CTAs to the main website. Main target was improving online consultants booking by driving users from magazine to the doctors’ archive or single page.

DrDr Magazine

My Role

I was UI/UX consultant in DrDr and had some background in SEO and knew what an optimized blog magazine should look like. So, I accepted to redesign single articles page for DrDr magazine.

Project Roadmap

DrDr magazine had huge number of users and we could have good vision about their behavior on it. Also, we started to set some events in Google Analytics and using Microsoft Clarity besides to observe scrolling and users’ actions on pages. next we discussed about business priorities to make better CTAs during a blog post. We added a widget to WordPress Guttenberg that could make a beautiful structured link between article and doctors single page and the copywriters had to add it to some points of their articles during writing. In this way we could solve a big problem that was converting magazine users to whom order an online appointment. In the other hand we had to improve on site SEO too. So, I started to design a new single page for articles step by step. Putting an H1 header on the top and after that some small details about corresponding article such as how long would it take on average to read full of it, or its category and date of publish. In addition to these, we added a new badge for those articles that had been verified by a doctor. By this trick, we also could take some extra credits from our readers and help them to trust us more easily. After an excerpt we put our social sharing buttons to help readers share their favorite articles with a tap. We tried not to put featured image in the first viewport of mobile devices to lazy load them. By this trick we could make our first view requests even less than before. And of course, by not loading an image at first, we could save a lot of page size on first load. for more SEO friendly works, we added FAQ schema to some popular pages so we could have more space on SERP.
